Pet Sitting
Subject to interview with owners and their pets.
When we encountered several pet sitters getting overwhelmed with demands for their services, we temporarily removed their names from our roster so that they can more easily provide services to existing clients. Please share with us if you find others who are qualified to sit for pets in our community and we will be happy to add to our list.

Resources for Pet Owners
Pet-friendly Establishments in Knoxville
Dog Food Rating Websites Dog Food Scoop | Consumer Search | Puppy Dog Place
ASPCA Great training tips and other info, such as Impulse Control Training and Games for Dogs, and a helpful article on Pet Adoption.
The Whole Dog Journal Lots of great articles on raising your dog, including dog food ratings, activities, how to problem solve, etc. A great value for the price of subscription.
Knoxville Dog Parks and other accommodations
Striving to become the pet-friendliest community in the nation, this town is a good fit when taking your dog to town. Let them run in the dog park for a while (5:30 in the downtown park gets really busy!) and then sit down with your dogs at your side out on the patio, have a glass of wine and dine al fresco. Most of the above restaurants are happy to provide bowls of water and from our experience have been very gracious to us with our dogs. Positive obedience training is a good fit when taking dogs into town! We found the Crowne Plaza a top knotch hotel to take well-behaved dogs for an overnight stay in the city!! Just a block from Market Square and two blocks from the downtown dog park.
Dog Friendly.com Travelling with your dog including pet-friendly hotels, interstate guides, off-leash parks, special events for dogs, has etiquette for dogs section. Worth a look!
iRobot A number of folks here in Rarity have discovered that the Roomba actually does a phenomenal job of helping to keep dog hair and dust at a minimum. Available at Costco for $300+.
